Monday:

We were going to go to the neighborhood parade today, with the kids dressed up in their American flag shirts that Gigi and Papa bought them, but by the time we got up and finished breakfast and entertained the thought of all getting dressed to leave the house for any reason, it was past 10:00. Maybe next year.

In the evening, Philip turned on the radio in the living room and both the kids were enamored with it. They both went over to it and stood by it just staring at it. Almost like they were thinking, "OH WOW! That's what that does!" We always try to play music in the house, but usually it's just added noise that I turn it off so I'm less likely to be aggravated with the kid noise. The unnecessary, negative, whiny, annoying kid noise that is.

Before we started dinner, I put Annabelle on the red car of Liam's and then asked him if he wanted to get on it as well. He did and thought it was the funniest thing ever. He loved when Annabelle would tip her head back to look and smile at him. Every time she got off, he would say, "Anbel want get on car with me!" I told him she had the choice to get on there or not, and if she didn't want to, she didn't have to. These moments where they are playing together makes everything worth it.
After dinner, I had picked up some Angel Food Cake and some berries and then I whipped up some whipped cream to top it with and made us some desert. I made Liam a plate and asked him, "Do you want some desert" He very excitedly replied, "Yeah! I would like some!" with a head nod and a quick climb in his high chair. I wish I would have caught it on video, as words are too little to describe his enthusiasm.
