Tuesday:

For nap, I really wanted to snuggle with Liam, so I brought him in my bed after I put Annabelle down. He likes me to tell him stories of "The Little Boy". I make them up as I go. Today's were about the little boy who had a little sister and a mommy. He liked to play with them both, and they had lots of fun, but sometimes his mommy had to do things like sweep the floor, do the dishes, fix lunch, etc. And the little boy was so nice and liked playing with his mommy so much that he helped out with those things so that they could have more time together. Of course, the actual story was much more detailed than that. Then there was a story of the little boy who had a little sister, a mommy, and daddy. His daddy had to go to work sometimes so that he could help provide for the family so that they could have things like lights, water, food, clothes etc. I asked Liam "What other things do we buy?" His response was "Cookies." Yup, we could buy cookies. We got caught up telling stories that it took Liam more time to get settled and just as I closed my eyes to go to sleep after he got still, Annabelle woke. Oh well, it was fun.

After dinner tonight we went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream. Liam was oh so excited about it. Before we left, he said, "I like ice cream!" I told him, "I know you do." I then asked him, "Is ice cream spicy?" He said, "No! It has sugar!" I laughed, "Yes, it does have sugar indeed." He wanted chocolate, and he pointed out the one he wanted, at first calling it 'brown ice cream' and even after the offer of chocolate ice cream with peanut butter, he still desired the plain chocolate. A man of loyalty, he is. He ate it all, and we swapped bites on his request, and tonight, after I put him to bed before prayers, I asked him, "What did you like about today?" "I liked ice cream." Then, "Did you like mommy's ice cream better or yours better?" to which he said, "I liked both!". We said prayers and finished up bedtime. I have great kids.
