Tuesday:
It's definitely proving to be an adjustment for Liam. There are a few more fits, a couple whine-fests through out the day, a lot of asking for help with things like getting on the potty, and the continuing request for milk. I has to be hard on little kids to go from one environment and one care giver to another. Especially when the caregiver is a grandma and grandpa, who have (and are supposed to have) a different relationship with them than their parents. I understand, and when I am a Grandma, I am probably going to be a lot like Gigi and Phillip a lot like Poppa. In fact, I'm kinda looking forward to having that relationship with my grandkids, where I don't have to be the 'Mother' with them. I'm not saying I'm going to let my grandkids get away with everything, and I certainly know that Gigi and Poppa don't. I remember when I talked with them one night when we are away and Liam hadn't napped and I heard Gigi in the back ground telling Liam that he is going to bed at 8:00. It's just a different kind of structure, and it's supposed to be, it's a different relationship. I'm really glad the kids have grandparents like them to be a true Gigi and Poppa, and I am more glad that they are the Gigi and Poppa that they are.
