Wednesday:

Phillip and I are in the constant debate on whether or not to cut Liam's hair. I love it. I absolutely do. Phillip doesn't. Not so much. Liam goes back and forth. At the grocery store today, a old lay (it's always the old ladies who love to stop and aww over the kids) stopped me and said, "Do you think they are both going to have curly hair?"
"I don't know", I replied.
"You don't have curly hair. Does you husband?", she asked. I shook my head. She then turned to Liam and asked him, "Where did you get that curly hair then!?" He just stared at her. He's not much for conversation with strangers.
A couple minutes later, Liam said, "I like my hair." I agreed that his hair was pretty awesome.

At dinner time, I came up with a new way to get Liam to eat the various foods he's deemed he "doesn't like". Tonight was brussel sprouts. I don't blame him, I didn't like them when I was a kid either. This was also the first time I've offered them in our house, which may very well be too late for him to like them. The only rule we have is that he does have to try everything. Just a little, tiny, itsy bitsy bite. Just one. He was convinced he didn't like it, so I told him that if he would try a bite of it, he could give a bite to Honey. This worked all the way through all four of his quarter size sprouts. Is it teaching him a bad habit of feeding the dog from his plate? Yes, it is. Is it a price I'm willing to pay to get him to eat his food without a fight? Yes, it very much so is.
