Tuesday:
Liam wanted to play in the rain. He came
back in asking for a hat, because it rained on his head. I let him wear
my Texas Tech hat to play in the rain. Then, he decided he didn't want
to play in the rain because it rained on his feet. Makes sense.
Liam has learned much about traffic since he is now facing forward. For instance, he knows there are a lot more cars on the road than he could have fathomed. A LOT more, and he mentions this each time we are out almost. He also has noticed traffic lights. He knows that green means go and red means stop. Today he asked me, "What those cars do when lights turns n-ga (orange)?" I thought for a minute. Should I tell him it means to slow down? To proceed with caution? Or, should I tell him the reality which is, 'step on it to make it past the intersection before it turns red'? I settled for, "It means that the light will soon turn red, and you don't want to be in the intersection when it does turn red, so when you pass a yellow light, be careful." I think that was a honest response.
